An Associate at Bennett Jones LLP in Toronto, Ontario, Amanda McLachlan practices general commercial litigation with particular experience in class actions and fraud recovery. Amanda has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Labour Board, and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Prior to articling and becoming an Associate with Bennett Jones, Amanda graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology / Sociology and attended law school at the University of Windsor. Amanda has written for several publications on a variety of legal topics including family status in employment matters, misclassification of overtime class actions, and restructing issues in CCAA proceedings.
Amanda has participated in several moot competitions and received recognition for her oral advocacy skills. In 2013, she participated in a panel discussion as part of the Ontario Bar Association’s Back to Basics: Litigating Human Rights Applications program.
